Today I’d like to feature another one of the finalists from the Most Adorable Party Contest; the yummy Milk and Cookies party that Anne Powers threw for her daughter Aubrey’s first birthday. I just think that this is such an adorable theme for a first birthday party, and that Anne did a great job at putting it together. I absolutely love the cake, and can you believe she made it herself? Wow. The large ‘cookies’ on top of the cake, were thin cakes that Anne decorated and used as the birthday girl’s smash cake! She set up a pretty cookie buffet, with lots of cookie varieties, and a refreshing watering hole complete with ‘tea’, and assorted milk flavours.

The party favours were mini milk jugs, served over ice with a cute brown and white straw, and a bag of mini cookies for each guest. Notice the mini milk jar labels, with the ‘Sweet 1 %”, to represent Aubrey’s 1st birthday. The pretty birthday girl’s party hat was made by her mommy, using left over paper and ribbon from the cookie jar decorations. I love the outdoor setting, and the tissue pom poms hanging from the garden umbrella. A really adorable party, with lots of inspiration, especially if you’re looking for ideas for an upcoming first birthday party.

This is by FAR the BEST milk & cookie party I have seen!

LOVE this party (how could I not love cookies?) Adorable details!
Adorable party and theme!
WHAT a fabulous party!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this party. I am doing a cookie bar for my daughter’s 1st birthday party and was wondering where I could get the jars of milk from? I would love to add this element to the favor table!! Thanks.
Hi Tiffany,
Anne used some antique bottles that she collected form her grandparents attic, but the flip top bottles she got from IKEA!
Great party theme! And so well-done! Love it!
Such an adorable theme…love it!!!
Just love this party!
Anne’s creativity is inspiring and her attention to details is amazing! So fabulous!
Thanks Jen for sharing my party! And thanks to the rest of you for your lovely comments!
I found this idea on another blog. If you can’t find old fashioned milk bottles, use the small Starbucks Frappaccino bottles and peel off the labels. I ran them through the dishwasher, then I am either going to spray paint the lids or put a circular sticker on the top to cover the Starbucks logo.
I must say, this is the cutest 1st B-Day party theme I have ever seen. It so appropriate for the age demographic, and I could not be more proud of my sister in-law for having the drive and inspiration to do what she loves. Congratulations Anne on your sweet success!
