Fantasy Garden First Birthday Party

We’ll be celebrating my daughter’s third birthday in September, and I’ve actually started thinking of themes, and looking around for inspiration. (It’s never too early!)  I’m really leaning towards a butterflies and candy theme, since these are two of her favorite things. So in scouting around for ideas, I came across this lovely Fantasy Garden first birthday party, filled with enchanting butterflies, dragonflies and bumblebees, on Jose Designs Blog, and I thought, I must share this!  The magical insects invitations, were posted out using bumble bee stamps, and they actually became keepsake bookmarks, once the number 1 card was detached from the rest of the invitation. The ceterpieces were pot-pourri filled birdcages surrounded with roses, orchids and hydrangeas, with little bumble bees attached. A beautiful butterfly mobile hung from the ceiling over each table, and a walk inside revealed the awesome dessert table, designed around a miniature pink picnic table. There was a stunning fantasy garden cake surrounded by fabulous little insect cakes, (butterlies, ladybugs and bumblebees), insect cookies, (dragonflies, butterflies, ladybugs and bumble bees), chocolate covered apples and strawberries, cupcakes, and a host of other lovely treats. Guests could wash down their treats with lemonade from Chloe’s bumblebee lemonade stand.

Here’s a closer look at the amazing dessert table, featuring a pretty pink net to catch all the lovely insect treats! For more pictures of this party see here.
