How To:- DIY Party Banner

I am so in love with this simple, stunning, & easy banner from Once Wed. Originally created as a wedding banner, this would be so perfect at a baby shower, or kids party. You can mix up the colours & fonts to create something fun & oringinal. I love the use of the clothes pins & twine to hang the letters, so creative!
So here’s the easy peasy tutorial:
What You Need
- -patterned card stock or thicker paper (Mix and match, the more unusual the paper…the better!)
- letter templates (optional)
-scissors
-pencil with eraser
-mini clothespins
-jute twine

Directions
Step 1: Make Your Templates
If you have the skills (which I don’t), draw the letters you need for your banner & cut them out. If you’re less adventerous, like me, then print out your letters on plain paper in a font size that suits your purpose, & cut them out.
Step 2: Create Your Letters
Now use the letters you cut out as stencils to draw onto your patterned paper. Don’t be afraid to mix and match the patterned paper and lettering, and combining upper and lower case lettering creates fun results. Cut out each letter and erase any left over pencil markings.
Step 3: Hang Your Banner
First hang the twine where you want to display your banner, then pin the letters to the twine using your mini clothes pins, and you’re done! You’ve just created your own fabulous party banner, and I’m sure it will generate alot of party conversation.
